This original design is raw-edge appliques on a pieced background which is mostly batiks. The appliques are a combination of my own designs and cut from commercial printed fabrics. Glitter tulle is covering the picture inside the border. Many different threads were used for quilting. Longarm quilted, computerized and hand guided.
This original design was a challenge for me to make fabric look like glass. It is raw-edge appliqued and pieced. The cabinet is 100% cotton fabrics. The glass pieces are many different fabrics including satin, shiny & glitter tulle, organza, crinkle sheers, metallics, and more. Nylon Tulle covers the raw-edge appliques. Longarm quilted, computerized and hand guided using Poly, Cotton, MonoPoly, and Metallic threads. Hobbs silk batting for trapunto and overall.
